Geriatric Wellness Program Our pets go through all the aging changes that we as humans face as we grow older. Unfortunately, these changes are compressed into ten to fifteen years for our furry friends instead or the 70 to 80 years it takes a human to age. Many of the disease processes that affect aging pets can be controlled or even slowed if they are detected early. Also, many animals can cope with many of the diseases associated with changing without showing outward signs that they are ill. This is especially true during the early stages when there may be something that could slow or stop the problem from progressing. That is why we are so dedicated to recommending our Geriatric Wellness Profile for all pets over nine years of age. This is a comprehensive set of tests that allow us to take a peak inside your pet's body to see what is really happening and detect any abnormalities before they can threaten you friend's health. Elements of the Geriatric Profile
We recommend that all older pets have a Geriatric profile done at least once a year. Remember, dogs and cats age the equivalent of four or five human years as every calendar year passes.
